Nissan wants no part of that for its fifth-generation Altima —even if the sales surge of its own Murano , Pathfinder , and Rogue crossover SUVs is contributing to the sedan slide. The Altima is still the bestselling product in Nissan’s lineup, and so far this year, it’s just ahead of the Honda Accord for second-place sales honors in that segment ( the Toyota Camry remains number one).

The fifth-gen Altima was all-new in 2013 , so this update leaves the sedan’s bones largely untouched. The big change is the move to “Energetic Flow” styling, which consists of a more muscular front fascia, Nissan’s “V-motion” grille (which looks like a grille overhanging another grille), and boomerang-shaped headlights and taillights.

The likely theory being that if crossovers are selling like hotcakes, then adding some Murano visuals to the Altima should spur sales of the sedan. It doesn’t stop there: Energetic Flow design is now found on the newly excited surfaces of the smaller and soberer Sentra and on the more expressive and expansive Maxima .

The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder adds five new exterior colors, a revised continuously variable transmission (CVT), a new Family Entertainment Package with dual seven-inch screens mounted on the headrests, and Hill Descent Control on four-wheel drive models. SV trim levels add fog lights, auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink and heated side mirrors with the SL grade adds a 120V power outlet. Packages have also been revised with the SL Tech Package now adding the Around View Monitor multi-camera parking system, and tow hitch and harness. The SL Premium Package adds navigation and the Around View Monitor.

The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder is a seven-passenger crossover slotting below the full-size Armada and below the smaller Rogue. It is available in four grades and in front- or four-wheel-drive configurations. A hybrid variant is also available for all trims except the base S model.

The 2015 Pathfinder is available with a 3.5-liter V-6 making 265 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque or a supercharged 2.5-liter hybrid I-4 rated at 250 hp and 243 lb-ft paired to a CVT. Fuel economy is good, with front-drive V-6 models achieving 20/26 mpg city highway and four-wheel-drive models at 19/25 mpg. Hybrid variants are the most efficient at 25/28 mpg in front-drive guise and 25/27 with four-wheel drive. Driving dynamics is excellent for a crossover, tracking straight on the highway but gets rough on ill-maintained surfaces. Acceleration is adequate with either engine due to the CVT being “burdened with moving with a 4200-pounds.”

Plantskydd works by emitting an odor that animals associate with predator activity. Research has proven that odor-based repellents (Plantskydd) are more effective than other repellent systems; where the animal needs to taste treated plants before being repelled. Animals avoid plants before they bite—not after!

Its long-term effectiveness is attributable to the tenacity of its 100% natural, vegetable oil binder in sticking to plants — even under severe snow/rainfall conditions: up to 6 months over winter, 3-4 months in summer.

“rabbits and deer immediately stopped eating my flowers – I was truly blown away at its effectiveness.” I was skeptical when I first bought Plantskydd.  I had tried everything to discourage deer – Irish Spring soap, egg-based sprays, pepper sprays, urine, Skoot, electric fence – you name it.  My frustration intensified when the rabbit population… View Article

“VOLE update:  There is absolutely no sign of voles.  No holes, no mounds, no vole damage.” I actually worked in my flower bed this weekend, doing some preliminary cleaning. So, I was able to really survey the situation. There is absolutely no sign of voles. No holes, no mounds, no damage. I actually have black… View Article

Ferrari has big changes in store for the next generation of the California T, its entry-level model. The news comes straight from company boss... READ STORY

The company has presented more evidence to support its allegations that Anthony Levandowski stole proprietary technology.

Porsche has revealed the next generation of the 911 could go mid-engined for the first time. The mid-engined 911 RSR developed for racing has generated a considerable amount of interest among enthusiasts, so the company is considering building a street-legal variant of it.

Nissan may only offer the 115bhp engine, but it's undoubtedly the best all-rounder for the van, with a useful 300Nm of torque to call on. Even so, all rivals offer more powerful engines and the modest power output can leave the Primastar feeling a little underpowered with a full load on board. But the performance is adequate, with a good compromise between performance and economy, while the standard six-speed gearbox makes the most of the 115bbhp and gives relaxed cruising at motorway speeds. The 2.0-litre diesel is a refined engine with relatively low noise levels in the Primastar.

The Primastar will feature 18,000 mile service intervals, which are in-line with the Fiat Scudo, but some way down the Ford Transit.

Inside, the standard car only has a one passenger seat with other models in the range being specified with three passenger seats.
